January 2007

I thought I'd use this blog as a way to capture the twins as they grow. So I wanted to do a flash back to last January and remember some of the great moments we shared.

Gage wanted to be right next to his brother!

Gavin is easily entertained!

First trip to the beach!

Sandy toes...

Loving our Grandpa who drove us back to UT.

Grandma with "her baby" at Dr. Ring's office.

Gavin hanging out on the changing table.

Watching "Baby Einstein"

Tupperware Party

When there is 8 feet of snow outside and no where to go...you've gotta find ways to entertain yourself! Gavin decided to have his own Tupperware Party today! He thougth he was hilarious!

Happy Birthday Talon

On Tuesday our cousin Talon turned 1. He is a cool dude and we know we will have lots of fun with him over the years.

Look what I taught him to do...boxes are really more fun than the toys inside!

Hey...there's nothing in my bottle. Yeah...there's nothing in mine either!

Baby Gate

The twins aren't sure what to think about the baby gate. Some days they stand there and laugh at me...and some days they cry to be picked up. For now they live their lives behind the safety of the gate!

Gage likes to make strange faces in the mesh of the gate!

Gavin can't decide is he is going to laugh or cry...he just wants me to put down the camera and come inside with him!

2022

Yes...that is the year the boys will get their Driver's Licenses! Isn't that scary to think about?

These photos were taken last October when the boys turned 1.

15 Months Old

On Sunday the twins turned 15 months old! They are Fun and Fantastic at 15 months! Most days...they both love to laugh and laugh. They enjoy playing with each other and can crack each other up. Both boys love to make strange noises and strange faces...which cracks Ken and I up. They love to play toys and to watch the Backyardigans. They love to eat...pasta, ham, green beans, and cookies. They are a JOY!

Thank you Grandma Penny for a delicious dinner and a fabulous Sunday night party!

7 Years...wow!

Today is our 7th Anniversary...can you believe it?

We Have A Leak!!!

No...not in the pipes but in something far more critical...the plastic pool! The twins LOVE the pool!

They love to eat their snacks in the pool.

They love to play games and sing in the pool!

They love to lounge in the pool.

They love to drink their bottles and watch cartoons in the pool.

It looks like the days in the pool are coming to an end.

Anyone know where I can buy a plastic pool in the winter?

Lunch Date

Today we left the snowy mountain to go down to the valley for lunch with good friends! We met Corinne & Pickle and Sarah & Cam at one of our favorite places...Del Taco! You know...the 1st Del Taco was in Corona, CA! They are my boys...both loved the food and chowed!

Suncrest Play Date

Yesterday we were invited to a play date! The family who hosted is in our ward...and they have six children...and their house was spotless. That is until Gage & Gavin ate lunch! Gavin loved sitting at the table with the big boys. Ken also entertained our two plus four neighborhood kids last night. He was requested to be a "Disney Dad" which meant he was supposed to be a ton of fun! Apparently, he succeeded! He is now all the rage in the hood!

The food was fabulous!

Saturday Night Pizza Party

Since the twins first started eating finger foods I've tried to follow the advice given by Ruth Yaron in the book "Super Baby Food." She writes, "Eating is an Important Learning Process - Self-feeding is important to your baby's physical development, eye-hand coordination, and manual dexterity. It is also important to her intellectual development. Allowing your baby to freely self-feed shows her that you have confidence in her abilities, which increases her self-confidence, independence, and self-esteem. Your tolerance, patience, and acceptance teaches her that the world is not a restrictive, formidable place and that she is free to be creative."

And with that I give you "Saturday Night Pizza Party" with Gage & Gavin. No restrictions and lots of creativity...I just wish Ruth was around to help me clean the floors!

Please Don't Kidnap My Babies!!!

Hi Friends & Family,

I'm going to finally jump in and start a Blog. I actually started one two years ago but didn't have a lot to say without Gage & Gavin in my life. My family really didn't want to hear about Cole. I started one again when the twins were born...but I was afraid someone would learn to much about us and try to kidnap my babies. I ask you please, please do not kidnap my babies! So...it is now 2008 and I have two 1 year old boys and I feel like if I don't document their daily activities I'll forget. And next thing I know they will be going on missions! I love, love, love reading blogs and I hope you will have fun reading this blog about my Joy x 2!

Ken still loves and misses his Cole.
